Toronto to Muskoka in a Tesla.
Toronto to Muskoka is about 190 km one way. Here's how I'd do it in a Model Y Standard (463 km rated range), with real Supercharger locations along the way.
Charging stops
- Barrie (Hwy 400)
- Destination charging at some resorts, e.g. Muskoka Bay Resort, Gravenhurst (Tesla destination charger)
Always let the car's navigation pick and precondition for stops; it shows live stall availability and price.
Approximate cost
190 km × 15.4 kWh/100 km ≈ 29 kWh. If all of it came from Superchargers at $0.30–$0.55/kWh, that's about $9–$16 one way. Leave home at 100% and you'll Supercharge less. Winter and highway speed raise consumption, so treat this as a summer estimate. Details: Supercharger cost per km.
Notes
Distance is approximate and depends on where in Muskoka you're going. Cottage country has fewer fast chargers; arrive with buffer and ask your cottage about a 240 V outlet. Superchargers further north Unconfirmed.
I film all of this on my own 2026 Model Y Standard. Watch on The Electric Standard on YouTube.
