Tesla Model Y Standard review: an owner's take.
I bought the cheapest Tesla Model Y in Canada, the 2026 Model Y Standard RWD, and I've been driving it around the GTA ever since. Here's my review, with every video from the channel.
The short version
The Model Y Standard gives you the Model Y's space, Tesla's charging network and FSD (Supervised) capability for the lowest price in the lineup. You give up some interior niceties, the second motor and some range compared with the Premium. For home charging and GTA driving, it makes a lot of sense. See exactly what you give up in Model Y Standard vs Long Range, and the numbers on the Model Y Standard spec sheet.
