Tesla delivery day checklist.

I took delivery of my Model Y Standard at Tesla Markham. Here's the checklist I'd run before accepting, with a full interactive version on my buying page.

Checklist

  1. VIN on the paperwork matches the car.
  2. Walk around in good light: paint, chips, panel gaps, trim alignment.
  3. Glass and roof: chips and cracks.
  4. Wheels and tires: curb rash, correct size.
  5. Interior: seats, headliner, screens, scratches.
  6. Test every door, window, the liftgate and frunk.
  7. Plug in to a charger to confirm charging works.
  8. Phone key pairs and the app shows the car.
  9. Note any issue in the app or on paperwork before accepting.
