Home charging
Best Level 2 chargers in Canada.
The Model Y Standard accepts up to 11 kW at home. Almost any 40–48 A Level 2 charger will fill it overnight. Here's how I'd choose.
| Option | Why | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Tesla Wall Connector | Native Tesla plug, up to 48 A, Wi-Fi updates | Price in Canada differs by source ($600–$815) Unconfirmed |
| Tesla Mobile Connector + 240 V outlet | Cheapest; I charge off a dryer outlet | Slower (up to 32 A) |
| Universal chargers (Grizzl-E, FLO, ChargePoint, Wallbox) | Work with any EV via adapter or J1772 | Needs an adapter for the Tesla port on some models |
Brands named are common in Canada per Ontario installer guides; not tested by me.
